ABOUT DAN
​
Dr Dan Reilly is a fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dan completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, and then undertook specialist training at Melbourne’s leading teaching hospitals including St Vincent’s, The Alfred, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Dan has a particular interest in the management of melanoma and other advanced skin cancers, hand surgery, and reconstructive microsurgery. Dan has undertaken further training through observerships at leading centres in New York and London. This allowed him to work with international experts in the management of melanoma, head and neck reconstruction including facial palsy, and breast reduction surgery.

Dan is actively involved in educating the next generation of surgeons, as the supervisor of trainees at Barwon Health and a coordinator of the statewide registrar education program. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
​
When he’s not at work, Dan loves spending time with his family, jogging, and making a mess in the kitchen. He can often be found plotting his next getaway and is on a constant quest for the perfect coffee.
