Gynaecomastia is the development of excessive breast tissue in men. It often affects teenagers and older men, but can develop at any age. Although common it is not often talked about and can cause great emotional distress impacting on self-confidence.

There are a number of different causes of gynaecomastia which require investigation by your GP. Surgical treatment of gynaecomastia involves the removal of excessive breast tissue.
